Jamie graduated from Brigham Young University, Provo in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. She soon obtained her securities licenses and began working in the financial services industry. Prior to working at Prudent Investors Network, Inc., she worked at a SunAmerica firm in Carlsbad. Jamie now specializes in working with fiduciaries and their specific needs. Throughout her employment at Prudent Investors Network, Inc., Jamie has worked closely with San Diego FAST, the Fiduciary Abuse Specialist Team. She has served as a steering committee member and as a co-coordinator of FAST. Their primary goals are to recognize and prevent the physical, emotional and financial abuse of the elderly by bringing together the experience and expertise of various professionals in the San Diego area.
Jamie also actively participates in PFAC, the Professional Fiduciary Association of California. Her attendance at the PFAC meetings and annual conferences has helped her to identify and work with the major issues faced by professional fiduciaries in the area. At the 2003 PFAC Conference, Jamie co-taught a class on how to invest in the current, uncertain market as a professional fiduciary. This topic, among other things, addressed the needs for fiduciaries to comply with the probate code and to provide proper diversification within an investment portfolio.
In addition to meeting with fiduciaries, implementing investment portfolios and assisting in the research process, Jamie also creates investment policy statements and investment recommendations which are then submitted to the courts for approval. Most recently, she has been working closely with the Clark County, Nevada and the San Diego Public Administrator/Public Guardians’ offices to assist them in the financial wellbeing of their respective conservatees.
Jamie is an active member of her church and has served as a teacher in the woman’s organization and is currently serving as a youth advisor.
